Once upon a time...
Family friendly Seascape Projections celebrates the stories and magical creatures that inhabit Te Whanganui-a-Tara. In Tara’s harbour sea creatures play including merpeople and scaly mythological Manaia, shapeshifting and splashing around you…
Rachie Campbell & VJ Cubeman’s Seascape Projections onto nature, architecture and water reflections around Performance Arcade 2024 create a memorising unique sea scape. The duo play a unique soundscape of music to draw people into the reflections with splashing water noises, dolphin hellos and nguru, traditional nose flute.
They have welcomed onto their collaboration Mahina Ina Kingi Kaui, a talented recording artist, composer, and accomplished player and practitioner of Ngā Taonga Pūoro (Māori traditional instruments) whose soothing sounds work with the seascape projections to create an immersive experience.
