The Performance Arcade seeks interns and volunteers to join us for the 2024 season!

 

In its fourteenth year, The Performance Arcade is an established annual arts and music festival that engages 60,000-90,000 art lovers and passers-by on the waterfront of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Working with the Arcade can help you upskill in a range of arts and events categories, from arts programming to music production to stage management to spatial design. Our interns go on to careers in the arts, music, and events sectors, and often return to join our team on future projects. 

 

We seek curious, enthusiastic interns and volunteers who are willing to get stuck in, try out new skills, and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, fun environment.

We seek the following interns:

• Artist liaisons / artist assistants

• Programme assistants 

• Mana whenua rangatahi interested in working in the arts within tauiwi arts organizations   

• Event assistants 

• Production interns

• Music programme interns

• Stage management interns

• Social media interns

• Spatial design assistants  

• Arts writers and reviewers

And volunteers:

• General event volunteers

 

Interns will begin working with us in late January. Event volunteers will need to be available during the period of 17-25 February 2024 (with flexible scheduling possible). There will be training sessions in late Jan/early Feb to ensure you’re fully equipped.
