About the Workshop

 

Taumata Whitireia is a celebration of collective strength. The shared pulse of our language, our stories, our songs, our movement, and the traditions that shape who we are. We as a collective specialize in Kapa Haka, Siva Samoa and Ura Kuki Airani, which is rooted in creativity, collaboration, mentorship, fostering a spirit of unity and artistic excellence. 

 

Our vision is to be a beacon of cultural connection and innovation, ensuring the legacy of Māori and Pacific Performing arts thrives and inspires future generations.

Workshop slots:

3x 20min Slots

Slot 1: Ura Kuki Airani (Cook Islands Dance)

Slot 2: Nekehanga (Māori Movement)

Slot 3: Siva Samoa (Samoan Dance)

 

Requirements:

  • Water

  • Sweat Towel

  • Pāreu/Ie (Sarong)
