About the work
INDUNA is a self-taught artist and producer who infuses his Afro-Pop sound with flavours from his South African roots. Growing up in the slums of Johannesburg and Limpopo before moving to New Zealand at fourteen, music became his solace and therapeutic outlet.
Induna’s achievements include receiving the Young Global Achiever Award at The King’s Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust) in 2024. His single Dreams won Best Original Song at IOWF, charted on the Official NZ Hot Singles Chart, and was featured in the documentary Ink and Gold. He recently released his EP Go High, which debuted at #16 on the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Albums Chart.
Induna has headlined shows in both Wellington and Auckland, captivating audiences at major festivals as well as more intimate local gigs.
