About the work
Hillary Bonhomme is a performer-composer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her current work is informed by songwriting, improvisation, and ensemble singing. She is also developing graphic notations for her compositions.

Hillary is bringing a section of her see to it trilogy, come back to earth, to the Performance Arcade in the form of a solo performance and music-social workshop. come back to earth is a concept ep and piece of vocal theatre written in response to the Parables novels by Octavia Butler.

Rather than chronicle the events of the books, come back to earth uses music and songwriting to reflect on the Earthseed writings and parallel experiences of dystopian conditions and community building in her own life.
