About the work
‘Dillon Jo’ is the genre defying project of Wellington Based artists Betty Smith and Georgie Levien. Dillon Jo built paths between the elements of dream pop, shoegaze, folk, alt rock, and indie pop to create their genre defying sound.
Having heard of each other through the Reality music TV show "Take The Mic" 2022 which they were both contestants on, they decided to become Dillon Jo in early 2025. Releasing their first single ‘It was you (she’s been waiting for)’ in April.
Now having recruited Kahu Sanson-Burnett, (a multi-talented musician, producer, and previous member of Parallel Park) and Ruadh Munro, (Drums and previous member of Scarlett crush) Dillon Jo has transformed their live sets into an unbridled big-sound shoegaze experience.
