Paula van Beek is an artist and art educator based in Wellington. Within an expanded performance practice her work investigates the performance of identity in public/private spaces with a focus on feminine experiences. Based in Melbourne for the past 12 years Paula gained a Graduate Diploma in Animateuring from VCA and has recently completed a Masters of Fine Art at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Her practice-led project examined social media, self-surveillance and the complications of selfie feminism. As an artist, performer, devisor and creative collaborator Paula has made works in car parks, theatres, hallways, galleries, bathrooms, on riverbanks and online.

This free self-guided tour allows you to experience this amazing art event in a whole new way. Starting at the main Arcade site the tour winds you along the Wellington waterfront. You will need to bring your own wi-fi enabled smartphone and headphones to stream the audio experience straight into your own ears. Look for the Audio Tour symbol along the pink line.
