Rebecca Hawkes -
Rebecca Hawkes is a queer Pākehā painter and poet who grew up in high country Canterbury and now lives in Pōneke. Her chapbook Softcore coldsores was published in AUP New Poets 5 in the series' reignition, and she performs with pop-poets' posse Show Ponies. Rebecca co-edits the literary journal Sweet Mammalian, and is an editor for a forthcoming book of poems addressing the climate crisis in Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Michaela Keebl - Michaela Keeble is a white writer who grew up in Naarm (Melbourne) and now lives in Aotearoa. She has a children’s book about defying unjust authority coming out with Gecko Press in early 2022. Her poetry chapbook “intertidal” was published by the collective Anemone Press in October 2020. Michaela's work is mainly about dismantling white supremacy, and uses the self as a prism through which to explore and expose the harmful and hypocritical desires of the white nation.
Ash Davida Jane - Ash Davida Jane is a poet and bookseller from Wellington. Her second book, How to Live with Mammals (VUP), will be published in April. Her poems have appeared in The Spinoff, Starling, Sweet Mammalian, Scum, Peach Mag, Landfall, and more.
Rhegan Tu’akoi - is a Tongan/Pākehā living in Pōneke. She is a Master’s student at Victoria and her words have appeared in Mayhem, Stasis and Tupuranga, among others.
Dani Yourukova - (they/them) is a queer Wellington writer with great hair and a bad personality. Dani has work published or forthcoming in Mayhem, Aotearotica, takahe, Poetry NZ yearbook and the Spinoff.
Sinead Overbye - Sinead Overbye completed her MA in fiction in 2018, and has since been published in Turbine, RNZ, Starling, Oscen, Sport and other places. She was a co-founder of Stasis Journal, which operated during lockdown in 2020. She currently works as a staff writer for The Pantograph Punch.
