Grumblewood

Garage Project music series

Baroque Jazz Rock

Grumblewood performs original compositions that make use of flute, mandolin, mandola, banjo, and sometimes harpsichord alongside more typical acoustic and electric instruments. They are performing songs from their debut album ‘Stories of Strangers’, a collection of tales that explore the lyricism, rhythms, and role of folk music – blending it with a bit of baroque, a bit of jazz, and a lot of rock.
Their live performances feature flamboyant flute-work, creative fret-work, melodic grooves, and evocative storytelling through song. They spent much of 2018 and 2019 in the recording studio, using only vintage analogue equipment and production techniques for that authentic vintage sound.
